Exchange requirements

If you want to start planning your Mobility, before applying, we recommend you to get information about the requirements that you must fulfill at the moment of starting the process.


Regular students

  1. Be a regular undergraduate or Master's student during the entire pre-selection process at UC, application and acceptance at the host university, as well as during the exchange. It is not possible to fail in the application semester, nor in the mobility semester.
  2. Not have a history of acts that violate the UC Honor Code nor have a sanction issued by the General Secretary's Office.
  3. Have pending credits to be completed during the exchange semester, it is not possible to apply as a graduate or in the process of graduation.
  4. Meet the language criteria established by the host university at the time of application.
  5. Undergraduate: To have completed at least 2 semesters at the time of application, to start the exchange at least from the 4th semester of the program.
    Master: To be in the 1st or 2nd semester at the time of application, to start the exchange on the 3rd or 4th semester of the program.
  6. Master's students must have the authorization of their program director to participate in the exchange.

Although it is not an exclusive requirement, it is also recommended:

  • Have a grade point average equal to or higher than 5.0.
