
In Milan: Broaden your professional career in the Summer Programs
The UC Vice Rector’s Office for International Affairs, in collaboration with the Federal University of Minas Gerais, extends the following call for participation in the UFMG Summer School, which will be held from July 21 to August 1, 2025.
The Federal University of Minas Gerais Summer School is a two-week program for international students. It will cover topics in politics, history, international relations, geology, law, economics, cultural studies and art that will provide an introductory perspective on Brazil and Brazilian studies.
In addition, the program includes Portuguese classes according to the student’s level. The program will be carried out in classroom format, at the UFMG facilities (Belo Horizonte, Brazil). Likewise, classes will be conducted in English, so it is necessary for the student to have a previous command of this language.
The acceptance of the student in the program is subject to the final decision of the Federal University of Minas Gerais, the Vice-Rectory for International Affairs does not interfere in this decision.
Benefits
- A scholarship that covers the full cost of the program, which corresponds to:
- Full program fee.
- Lodging for the duration of the program (in a UFMG residence).
- A scholarship covering half of the cost of the program, which corresponds to:
- Half program fee. The student will be responsible for paying the remaining cost (USD 500).
- Lodging for the duration of the program (in a UFMG residence)
The student who obtains the first place in the call for applications will be assigned the scholarship that covers the full cost of the program.
The second place student will be awarded a scholarship that covers half of the cost of the program.
Selected students must confirm to the coordinator in charge their interest in continuing in the process. Failure to confirm a place may mean elimination from the process and revocation of the assigned scholarship.
Requisitos
- Be a student of the School of Government; School of Social Sciences; School of Communications; School of Law; School of History, Geography and Political Science; School of Philosophy; School of Letters or College (Arts and Humanities or Social Sciences).
- Maintain the status of regular undergraduate or Master's student throughout the pre-selection process at UC, application to the host university and during the development of the program.
- Have at least 2 semesters completed at the time of application.
- Meet the B2 English requirement, as follows:
- Current language certificate (Toefl, Ielts, Cambridge, Duolingo, Etaap).
- Certificate issued by a professor of English UC or the School of Letters.
- Not having previously completed an exchange or other type of mobility sponsored by the Office of the Vice President for International Affairs.
- Have sufficient financial resources to cover the mandatory additional expenses (airfare, insurance, lodging, among others). It is the sole responsibility of the selected student to pay for round-trip airfare to and from Brazil.
