
Study Abroad
If you are a student from a foreign university, with a unilateral agreement or without an exchange agreement with the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (UC Chile) and you wish to apply to take courses at UC Chile for one or two semesters as an external provisional student, here you can find details on how to apply.

Application Requirements
- International students must have a good command of the Spanish language. Those who are not native Spanish speakers must meet the B2 level language requirement (according to CEFR) accredited (present DELE, SIELE certificate or letter from the Spanish department of the home university certifying B2 level)*.
*In duly justified exceptions, students who certify a CEFR B1 Spanish level may apply as long as they mandatorily enroll in the B2 Spanish course at UC Chile. This course has a preferential cost for exchange and double degree students. Registration is done along with acceptance to the mobility program. - The minimum grade point average must be equivalent to a 3.0 GPA
- Students must be authorized to apply for Study Abroad by their home university for their application to be considered.
Costs
In this modality, each UC Chile credit costs USD$130, most courses have 10 UC Chile credits, therefore, a 10-credit course costs USD$1,300 (One thousand three hundred dollars) and the final amount to pay for a semester of studies will depend on the number of credits registered plus administration and service costs.
Additionally, there is an extra cost of USD$300 per semester for administration and services (academic certificate, university card (UC Chile ID), access to computer rooms, library and its databases, technical support from the help desk and gym).
Through this modality, each UC credit costs USD$130. Considering that most of the courses at UC have 10 UC credits, the cost per one 10 UC credit course taken will be USD$1300, and the final amount to be paid will depend on the number of UC credits taken in one semester plus the Administration and services fee.
There is an additional payment of USD$300 per semester related to Administrative and Service-related costs (issuance of a Transcript of records, use of computer labs, sports facilities, and the UC Library Network).
